New York Exhibition Combines Art and Scent

This past week, Air Aroma USA paired with Tokyo based artist Michio Koide to add to scent his exhibition. The event, which took place at the Nippon Gallery in New York, was a display of traditional Japanese beauty morphed into jewelry.

The team of artists translated traditional stories and historical figures from Japanese culture into their vision of contemporary art. In order to take the New York exhibition to the next sensory level, attendees of the gallery were met with a Japanese bamboo fragrance upon arrival. Michio Koide and his team choose a traditional yet modern fragrance that mirrored the contemporary interpretation of the classic images used as inspiration. Top notes of lemon and tangerine wafted throughout the space to created a refreshing ambiance. These citrus notes played with ginger to add a touch of spice, while woody cedarwood notes mixed with the fresh blend to finish off the complex aroma. This scent lingered with attendees throughout their visit to the New York exhibition to mimic the natural elements and create a lasting impression from the visual experience.
